Triumph Puts The ‘X’ Factor In The Street Triple RX

Triumphs absolutely stoked for 2026 pulling the covers off a couple of headline grabbin editions of its Street Triple 765  the RX and the Moto2 Edition. You beauty These bad boys are built on Triumphs solid as a rock 765cc triple platform and fair dinkum theyre the most so up ed up versions weve seen yet.


The 765 RX is a bit of a homecoming for Triumphs RX badge which first popped up on the 675 RX way back in 2015 as a more aggressive track focused take on the Street Triple. This RX is the ultimate track weapon for the 765... that is if youve gone and forgotten about the Daytona 765 Moto2 (cmon Triumph bring that ripper back). Its got sharper lines all the good bits and bobs and get this  its only around for a single year. Better be quick cobber

The RX rocks up in a matt aluminium silver finish chucking a bit of contrast with a Diablo Red subframe and wheels  a deadset nod to the original Street Triple RXs heritage. Youll also find a fancy precisionmachined yoke a laseretched RX logo on the silencer  thats the exhaust mate  and a custom RXbranded seat just to show off its specialedition street cred.


The Triumph Street Triple 765 Moto2 Edition Shes a deadset tribute to all those years tearing up the track in Moto2  and holy dooley she looks the part too. While the RX goes for aggressive colour splashes and topshelf components the Moto2 Edition ramps up the exclusivity going full noise with carbonfibre everywhere side panels front mudguard belly pan and even a carbon end cap on the silencer.

You can grab her in Mineral Grey or Crystal White both with a ripper Triumph Performance Yellow rear subframe and a matching accent stripe on the back wheel. Each bike also cops a numbered billetmachined top yoke just to remind punters that there are only a thousand of these Moto2 Editions knocking about. Reckon the collectors will be all over em like a rash.


The riding position on the Moto2 Edition is even more get amongst it than the RX thanks to its trackinspired clipons a dimpled Moto2 seat for extra grip and a clearlens tail light to finish off that proper race look. Shes just as trackready no worries  but the Moto2 brings that vibe of being a true collectors gem the closest youll get to a Moto2 bike with a number plate... and without the full fairing mind you.

Enginewise both these beasts pack the same 765cc inlinethree that Triumph chucks into the Moto2 World Championship bikes  a proper revmonster punching out 130PS at 12000rpm and 80Nm at 9500rpm. Shes got some serious guts The exhaust is a stainless 3into1 header with a single silencer plus you get a slipandassist clutch and a slick 6speed gearbox. No dramas there.


The RX isnt shy about borrowing some racederived bits from the Moto2. Both editions score fully adjustable Öhlins NIX30 upsidedown forks (compression rebound and preload with 115mm of travel). And round the back youve got an Öhlins STX40 reservoir shock. Top shelf mate. Clipon handlebars replace the usual RS setup pulling the rider forward and lower  for sharper control especially when youre slamming on the anchors. And both come shod with those super sticky Pirelli Supercorsa SP V3 tyres. Grippy as a gecko

Braking Thats looked after by twin front 310mm floating discs with Brembo Stylema calipers while the rear runs a 220mm single disc. Stops on a dime that. Wet weight clocks in at 188kg with its 15litre tank and the seat height sits at 839mm  making it light and firm proper ready to carve up the track.


As for the tech both are absolutely loaded to the gills you get a fullcolour 5inch TFT display cornering ABS an ABS track mode tweaked traction control and Triumph Shift Assist for those clutchless gear changes. Shes got the lot The Moto2 even gets its own special TFT startup animation. The RX is pretty clearly aimed at punters who loved the RS but wanted something a bit sharper more track focused but still handy enough for a squirt down the street  and by only keeping it around for a year Triumphs giving it a bit of an its a cracker buzz.

Even Triumphs Chief Product Officer (CPO) Steve Sargent piped up saying demand for high spec naked bikes that can also handle themselves on the track is going through the roof and this RX is our answer. But honestly if Triumphs going to all this trouble to make a naked bike proper trackworthy they might as well chuck a fairing on it and call it a Day(tona) reckon Just sayin.
